About Me

Welcome! I am currently a fifth-year Ph.D. candidate in the Walker Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Texas at Austin under the supervision of Dr. Zhenghui Sha. I earned my M.S. and B.Eng. in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China. Before my Ph.D., I gained a year of valuable industry experience at SAIC Volkswagen in Shanghai.

Research Interests

My broad research interests span the domains of

  • complex socio-technical system (STS) engineering and design,
  • network science,
  • machine learning in system engineering,
  • decision-making in complex system design,
  • human-AI collaborative design.

These interests find applications in diverse areas, including but not limited to manufacturing systems, market systems, energy systems (e.g., smart power grid), EV ecosystems (EV market systems and EV charging infrastructure systems), and smart transportation systems. Throughout my Ph.D. studies, I have accumulated substantial research experience, particularly in network-based complex socio-technical system engineering and design. My research findings have been disseminated through publications in reputable engineering journals and conferences such as Design Science, Journal of Mechanical Engineering, IDETC/CIE, ICED, CESUN, NetSci, and CSER.
